Your details stay yours
We collect the minimum needed to make the local community useful. We do not sell personal information or publish private contact details.
Who runs this
Chichester.Music is a local initiative of Musicians Rights UK Limited, founded by Cadyn Lewis. It is not a Chichester District Council service unless a formal partnership is explicitly stated.
What we collect
When you join the drop list, we collect your email address. When you contribute, we also ask for your name, postcode, closest creative role, what brings you here, your contribution, an optional next move and an optional link.
What may become public
After human review, we may publish your display name, role, broad area, contribution and link on the public wall. Your email address and full postcode stay private.
Why we use it
We use this information to review contributions, keep the community locally relevant, contact you about your entry, connect useful people, work, spaces and opportunities, and record whether an introduction produced a useful outcome.
Public-source research
Chichester.Music may separately record public information about local venues, businesses, services and cultural activity. Research remains marked as unverified and is not treated as membership, endorsement or permission to publish personal contact details.
Updates are optional
The drop list is an explicit choice to receive occasional Chichester.Music emails about original work, opportunities and events. You can unsubscribe at any time. You can also submit a contribution without joining the drop list.
Storage and removal
Information is stored in a private operator system and kept only for as long as it is useful for operating the network or meeting legal obligations. To request access, correction or deletion, send a contribution beginning “Data request” using the same email address. Data requests stay private and are never published.
